🚗 Our mission

FreeParking.Moscow helps drivers find places where the community has been able to park without charge. It is not an official map or a guarantee: always check current signs, road markings and on-site restrictions before parking.

🗺️ How the free parking map works

  • Users add places: they place a pin on the map, describe the conditions and can attach a photo.
  • Moderation: we review submissions, flag disputed cases and, where necessary, compare information with mos.ru, parking.mos.ru and applicable regulations.
  • Community feedback: likes, dislikes and comments help keep the database current.
  • Recognition: leaderboards and badges reward contributors who add verified places.

📌 Current scope & future plans

We currently publish places shared by drivers: courtyards, streets outside paid zones and parking near common destinations. Their status reflects community experience, not official permission. We may later add private paid facilities, clearly separated and labelled as such.

🔍 Sources & parking rule checks

  • Official sources: mos.ru, parking.mos.ru and applicable regulations.
  • Crowdsourced reports with moderation and a public edit history.
  • Disputed wording is flagged in the interface and updated after an additional review.

🕒 Latest fact review

The key wording was last reviewed on March 3, 2026. Legally sensitive facts, including fines, exceptions and benefits, come from a shared fact register and are kept in sync with official sources.

🛠️ Data updates & moderation

  • We accept user submissions and flag disputed cases for another review.
  • We remove duplicates and clarify addresses and descriptions.
  • Key rules come from a shared, dated fact file.
  • For appeals or corrections, contact us and we will review the case and update the data where needed.

🤖 For developers

The data is licensed under CC BY 4.0, so attributed reuse is permitted. Open exports are available directly in JSON and CSV. Crawler and bot rules: /robots.txt.
